I joined McMillan Williams in November 2005 as a paralegal in the family department with the hope of obtaining a training contract.

I studied Business Studies and Law at the University of North London and completed my graduate diploma in Law at London Guildhall in 2003. I successfully completed my Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in London in 2006.

I have extensive experience in family law as I have worked within this area for the last 5 years. I have worked for a specialised family law firm called Children and Families Law Firm as a paralegal. I was fortunate enough to obtain experience conducting my own case load in divorce and Children Act proceedings. I worked for the London Borough of Merton as a Legal Assistant. I was exposed to Local Authority procedures and attended court with Counsel. In addition to this, I assisted fee earners with their own case loads and preparing cases for court hearings.

I have been working for McMillan Williams for almost two years. I have gained invaluable experience with a robust team of Family Lawyers. My training contract with the firm commenced in December 2006 and I am pleased to say that I have been exposed to various aspects of family law. I have had more insight into the area of Child Abduction in particular the law and procedures in relation to the Hague Convention. . I have had extensive experience in dealing with the various stages of Care Proceedings, and I have began to conduct my own Children Act cases alongside a number of divorce cases, with close supervision. I am confident that the training that I am receiving will prepare me for a bright future as a solicitor.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, attending church and maintaining my health and fitness by attending the local gym.
