Whilst employed as a Computer Programmer Denise decided on a change of career. Having been interested in Law for a number of years, mainly she studied part-time for a Law Degree at the University Of Northumbria in Newcastle Upon Tyne where she also sat her Law Society Final Exams.
After qualifying as a Solicitor she worked initially in the North East of England.
Denise joined McMillan Williams in 1996. Since that time she has gained experience dealing with a vast number of claims involving Road Traffic Accidents, Public Liability, Occupiers’ Liability, Employers’ Liability, Product Liability, GP and Dental Negligence, Obstetrics/Gynaecology and general surgical claims. Her experience ranges from moderate injuries, where a full recovery is made, to cases involving permanent disability and fatalities.
Denise has pursued claims in the High Court and County Court. She undertakes publicly funded (Legal Services Commission) work, Conditional Fee Agreement (“no win no fee”) work and privately funded work.
Denise has three young children who occupy most of her time outside of her professional duties. Her involvement in the local community includes the running of a toddler group and taking part in church activities. She also holds a PADI open water scuba diving certificate. |
