McMillan Williams

James qualified as a solicitor in July 2009 and is Head of the Costs Department.

James joined McMillan Williams as a trainee solicitor having worked since 2001 as a Costs Draftsman both in house and as an external consultant.

He completed a European Law Degree at Coventry University and went on to complete the LPC at the College of Law in London.

After completing the LPC James worked for a well known national Law firm dealing with costs related issues in a range of personal injury, clinical injury, family and general civil litigation matters. Following this he worked for a specialist Costs Draftsman firm where he expanded his experience in the above mentioned areas in addition to gaining considerable experience in advocacy.

Outside of work James enjoy football, squash and the gym.
