Qualified as a solicitor in November 1995 and a Partner in the firm. Broad range of experience but specialises in:

 
  • Care (Public Law) Proceedings
  • Children and Family Proceedings
  • Neil is the partner responsible for the Family and Care Litigation Departments.

    Neil became a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel (Children’s Representative) in September 2005, and is also a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children.

    Neil has a broad range of experience in many area of the law and he also set up and ran an independent legal advice service in Hackney for 2½ years prior to re-joining the firm in September 2002.

    Neil currently mainly acts for children and parents in care proceedings and he is acknowledged for his thorough but sensitive handling of what are complex and difficult cases.

    Neil keeps abreast of developments generally in the area of Family law, having overall responsibility for this department.

    In his spare time Neil is an avid viewer of 24, Lost and Brothers and Sisters (now that West Wing is no more!); tries to watch or see Chelsea at every opportunity; enjoys a good night out with his family and friends if he has enough energy having spent as much time as possible with his two babies (who are only 15 months apart); and helps run a fledgling national not for profit organisation, S:VOX, which provides support and advocacy for survivors of all forms of abuse.
