Rowena read Law at the University of Exeter and qualified as a Solicitor in 1982 with a New Malden firm with whom she remained practising in both contentious and non-contentious areas of the law. She moved to McMillan Williams in 1985 and specialised in Private Client work (Probate, Wills, elderly client work including Court of Protection and Powers of Attorney) and residential conveyancing, until 1989. Thereafter she worked elsewhere in residential conveyancing, then in 1994 she returned to McMillan Williams for a second spell to 1998 doing primarily Private Client work with some residential conveyancing.
Rowena then spent some years elsewhere in the residential conveyancing field undertaking mainly managerial and training roles. She is now returning to McMillan Williams' Private Client department in a role that includes managerial and training responsibilities.
Rowena is keen on football, is a member of CAMRA and of a local church and has two children aged 7 and 4.
