I completed my Law Degree at the University of Westminster and went on to do the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London.
I started working for McMillan Williams as a paralegal in December 2005.
On my first day at McMillan Williams, I immediately felt comfortable with the firm and the people around me, who were only to happy to provide me with advice and assistance when required.
I began working in the conveyancing department and assisted solicitors on cases involving both residential and commercial sale and purchases, as well as re-mortgages. My day-to-day tasks ranged from drafting mortgage and property reports to carrying out the completion of a sale or purchase transaction.
In December 2006, I became a trainee solicitor. My first seat was in the criminal department, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am currently in my second seat working in Conveyancing. The transition from paralegal to trainee was a smooth one. Working as a trainee solicitor is both enjoyable and mentally stimulating. I enjoy a good deal of responsibility and feel that I am learning every day.
I am a person that relishes responsibility and at McMillan Williams I am given the opportunity to take on as much work as I can handle, coupled with the knowledge that I have the support of the team around me.
One of the best things about McMillan Williams is that there is a strong diversity of people in the firm and many of the paralegals and trainees here have similar aspirations to me.
Outside of work, I am an active member of a youth group where my responsibilities include organising social and educational events. I enjoy playing and watching football, as well as reading Steven King horror novels. |
